Anneli Tuominen appointed ECB representative on Supervisory Board
The European Central Bank (ECB) has appointed Anneli Tuominen to be its representative on the Supervisory Board for a five-year term. She currently serves as Director General of the Financial Supervisory Authority (FIN-FSA).The Supervisory Board is responsible for planning and carrying out the tasks of ECB Banking Supervision. The Supervisory Board consists of four full-time members appointed by the ECB and representatives of 21 national competent authorities. Tuominen has previously been the FIN-FSA’s representative on the Supervisory Board.
The Board is chaired by Andrea Enria and its Vice-Chair is Frank Elderson. The three other ECB-appointed representatives are Edouard Fernandez-Bollo, Kerstin af Jochnick and Elizabeth McCaul. Anneli Tuominen will succeed Pentti Hakkarainen, whose five-year term ends on 31 January 2022.
