Decision by the Helsinki Administrative Court on a complaint regarding document publicity

On 3 May 2017, the Helsinki Administrative Court issued a decision (15106/16/1203) on a complaint made by Tuomo Pietiläinen in respect of document publicity. The Administrative Court reversed the decision of the Financial Supervisory Authority (FIN-FSA) not to grant access to e-mail messages requested by Mr Pietiläinen. The demand for compensation regarding legal expenses was reversed by the Administrative Court.

​The FIN-FSA will communicate more details of the matter as soon as it has decided whether it will make an application to the Supreme Administrative Court to obtain permission to appeal.

In addition, the FIN-FSA will evaluate the effects of the decision on its supervisory work.
