New deputy member for Ministry of Finance representative on the FIN-FSA Board
On 11 September 2015, the Parliamentary Supervisory Council appointed Jaakko Weuro as a deputy member of the Board of the Financial Supervisory Authority (FIN-FSA), with immediate effect. Weuro replaces Tuija Taos who has resigned from the post and is now the Director General of the Financial Stability Authority. Jaakko Weuro serves as a Ministerial Adviser at the Ministry of Finance and will act as deputy for Martti Hetemäki on the FIN-FSA Board.
The FIN-FSA Board is chaired by Pentti Hakkarainen, Deputy Governor of the Bank of Finland. The other members of the Board are Martti Hetemäki, Permanent State Secretary from the Ministry of Finance (Vice Chairman), Outi Antila, Director-General at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health, Pirkko Juntti, LLM, and Vesa Vihriälä, Managing Director of the Research Institute of the Finnish Economy. The deputy for Pentti Hakkarainen is Kimmo Virolainen, Head of Department at the Bank of Finland. The deputy for Martti Hetemäki is the newly-appointed Jaakko Weuro and the deputy for Outi Antila is Mikko Kuusela, Senior Actuary at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health.
